A New Year

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 For 5:17

It’s a brand new year and a great time to take an inventory of the ups and downs of 2023. There have been those moments that you are glad to leave behind in the dust, and there are those moments of victory that gave you strength and encouragement. The struggles can be lessons learned or experiences which direct you to a higher path. In Christ, we can be built up for good works by persevering through the process of it. In Romans 5:3-5, Paul tells us:

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;  perseverance, character; and character, hope.  And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

So we can learn and move forward, leaving us free to see the path Christ has for us as His disciples. Keeping our eyes on Christ helps us stay the course and see the hopeful possibilities ahead in the days to come. Keeping our connection with each other, as Christ’s church, helps us encourage and be encouraged to move together in a unified faith in the Holy One who makes all things new. That is one of the great gifts of participating in the life of Christ’s church, that we are led by the Holy Spirit, and together, we will walk into this new year secure in the knowledge and acceptance of Christ as Savior.

All are welcome to join us in worship each Sunday at 9 am, and stay for food and fellowship afterwards. But don’t stop there. Find ways to grow in faith during the week through Bible study, and to serve the Lord with joy. God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good! We pray that you will feel His presence in your life, now and always!

Our Mission

As a member of the Global Methodist Church, our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. Our Vision is to join God in a journey of bringing new life, reconciliation, and the presence of Christ to all people, and to helping each person reflect the character of Christ.

Our Bay Vue Methodist motto is “Come as you are and leave transformed.” Therefore we believe in living for the Lord who has saved us, and who calls us to love and serve one another on His behalf.

Who Are We?

We are Bay Vue Methodist Church, a Global Methodist Church, as of January 1, 2023. We believe in the One True God, known to us as: God the Father, our Creator, God the Son, Jesus Christ our Savior, and God the Holy Spirit, our Guide and Comforter. The Apostles’ Creed is our statement of faith in the fully divine and fully human Jesus Christ who is ever-living and the Keystone of our faith.

We believe that God loves all and that Christ came to save the whole world, and therefore all people are to be valued and loved, by Christ and His church. We invite anyone who is seeking the Lord to be a part of our community of faith to “Come as you are and leave transformed”. This means there is no dress code here at the beach. And more than that, it means that Christ Himself invites us all to come and let Him transform us into people who live for Christ each day.

You are loved. Come and join us as we learn more about what that means, and then live that out in worship, prayer, study, and service.

Worship is at 9 am, followed by food and fellowship. God bless you!
