His ministry began at a young age where he served the church in doing Mission work in Mexico at the age of 14. Born in the Midwest, Pastor Summers felt drawn to ministry as a young adult. After serving the local church and entering into ministry as a lay pastor.  It wasn’t long until Pastor Summers began working and living in Central America with the poor and homeless children, earning his position as a Pastor within the Methodist Church of the Caribbean and Americas (MCCA) where he served 10 churches and two youth groups.  It was after 10 years in the Caribbean that he returned to the US and began serving as minister to the UMC and very soon joining The Global Methodist Church.  It was at that time that he attended and graduated from United Theological Seminary with a certificate of Theology and Ministry and then later being Ordained first as Deacon and then as Elder.  Over the past two decades, he has pastored multiple congregations, Developed and ran a 501 c 3 nonprofit for the poor (Project Honduras), launched community outreach programs, mentored emerging leaders, held the title of Missions Director for Honduras and served as president of the Ministerial Alliance (2) times. In addition, has served in counseling broken families for the courts and worked as Chaplain for the Police Department.
